Pounded Wedding Bands
When my best friend asked me if I could make wedding bands for him and his fiancé I immediately said yes. This was a bit of a trick having never attempted anything like this before but after gaining some knowledge from a local gem and gold dealer and the purchase of an oxy-acetylene torch this project started rolling.
These rings are made from 14k rose and yellow gold. The gold bars where shaped, bent, soldered, pickled, then stretched and pounded to size. They were then polished for the big day.
If you look close enough Emily's band has a notch extracted from the gold so it seamlessly hugs her engagement ring.
